Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy

Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad, consistent pressure while utilizing their feet and body weight. Working with gravity instead of against it, Ashiatsu therapists are able to provide an effective therapeutic massage without causing discomfort to themselves or the client. (Deepfeet© Bar Therapy Graduate/Alumni) (Check out deepfeet.com for to learn more.)

OhmSignature Massage

Utilizing an Infra-Red Sauna before (and after!) your session helps relax the muscles from the inside out, allowing the body to let go and melt the outer layers of stress away for the Therapist to apply pressure without the extra work to pre-warm up the body!

Swedish ~ Lomi ~ Deep Massage

This modality is the type of bodywork performed with a compilation of learned techniques.  One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. It’s beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. Additionally, Deeper firmer pressure is followed in areas that need it, along with Lomi-Lomi, which translates to ‘rub rub’ in Hawaiian, and reflects the broad, flowing strokes made with the therapist’s fingers, thumbs, palms, arms and elbows, to feel like you’ve been wrung out to dry!  Enjoy!!!

Pregnancy, Integrated Cupping, Hot Stone

Pregnancy Massage: Focusing on relieving tension, reducing the stress and relaxing Mom’s changing body. Optional body cushions and pillows to accommodate a growing body.

Integrated Cupping Massage: (Dry)Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction, separate stuck fascia & muscle tissue, as well as pulling toxins/old blood to the surface (hence the markings). People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. More about Cupping

Integrated Hot Stone Massage: Heat has long been used to ease muscle tension and pain. It helps increase blood flow to the affected area. It may also reduce muscle spasms and increase flexibility and range of motion. Melt away that tension with Hot Stone application and integrated Swedish and deep tissue to loosen up those chronic areas! More insight from Healthline

If you’re looking for a spa massage that follows the typical routine, Janine’s not what you’re after. However, if you’re looking for someone who is an expert at what they do, understands the body, and customizes to your specific needs, look no further. 11/10, Will be back and will also proactively reach out and recommend to friends.

Fairly new to Ohmbodywork and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experiences. Truly a healing atmosphere, relaxing and tranquil. Janine is very in-tune with your body and advises how to take care of yourself following your session (salt baths, etc). I’m already booked for the next few months 🙏🏻

I've been seeing Janine for massage since early 2020 and will keep returning, because she's great at it. She applies the pressure I'm usually looking for (& can go easier if needed), and is great at pinpointing my problem areas. We usually have conversation & some joking around, but she's happy to let me zone out if that's what I need. I saw the review about virus precautions, and yes, that was probably true early last year, but she (& I & most of us) have learned & changed. This reminds me, I need to make another appointment...

A Therapist who listens and cares. I have had several massages from Janine and the they have all been AWESOME! She listens and really considers what I need before she starts. She checks in when appropriate and I always feel cared for and Oh-So-Much-Better when I leave. I highly recommend her amazing skills.

I've been struggling with this isolation craziness and my body, mind and soul needed therapeutic care and touch. Im a fan of Deep Tissue and needed deep tissue work immediately! I learned the therapist offers Ashiatsu- which is an amazing style of pressure where the therapist is using slow deep strokes by using their FEET! Yes folks! - it's similar to Thai - but it has incorporated massage strokes! I felt like a tube of toothpaste getting 2020 out of every Nook and cranny of my body! I felt Like Heaven thereafter! The therapist was Professional and informed me of useful exercises & tips to do at home, and also sent a follow up email with additional Self-Care remedies if Im in a bind! The Therapist also demonstrated COVID protocols including taking my temp! She was quite a pleasant, thorough , friendly, and welcoming and provided a safe environment in a beautiful cozy office overlooking Lake Washington!. You can tell she loves her craft and I've already scheduled with her again- I highly recommend! A million thanks!
